TranquiliTips

Break the Habit.

Not Your Skin.

Skin-picking and nail-biting are body-focused repetitive behaviors or BFRBs— not quirks, not “bad habits,” and not a lack of willpower. They’re coping strategies your mind and body developed to manage stress, boredom, or overwhelm.

You’re not alone. Millions of people pick their nails or cuticles without ever talking about it.

We’re creating tools for people who understand exactly what that feels like.

What We’re Building

TranquiliTips are open-tip cuticle protectors designed to protect vulnerable skin while redirecting anxious or repetitive hand movements. They work by protecting skin from picking, while seamlessly redirecting picking behavior to the cuticle sleeve itself, working as a built-in fidget.

They’re meant to be:
• Gentle, not restrictive
• Habit-supportive, not shame-based
• Functional, not frustrating

Why It Matters

Most solutions treat the behavior as something to suppress. Gloves, acrylic nails, reminders and creams/oils don’t address the underlying urge to pick. Fidget toys are not always accessible and can prevent the user from completing their daily activities during use. Fidget rings are placed lower on the finger, not right at the cuticle point.

We’re approaching this differently.
Our tools are informed by BFRB research, sensory psychology, and real lived experience.

The goal isn’t to suppress your hands.

It’s to support them.

Our Mission

We’re building tools that support people who pick, bite, and worry — without shame, restriction, or judgment.

Body-focused repetitive behaviors affect millions of people, yet most of the existing solutions are either cosmetic quick fixes or avoidant strategies that ignore how the habit works beneath the surface. We believe change comes from understanding, not suppression.

At TranquiliTips, our mission is to:
• Protect the body
• Reduce harm
• Create healthier sensory outlets
• Support behavior change over time
• Foster a community that feels seen

We’re not here to tell you to stop.
We’re here to give your hands a safer place to go.

Hear From Our Clients

I’ve tried gloves, oils, manicures, even acrylics, and nothing worked because I need my hands for work. I pick at my cuticles mostly when I’m typing or zoning out. These stayed on, didn’t feel embarrassing, and actually gave my fingers something else to do.

I didn’t realize how automatic my picking was until it was interrupted. I’m not perfect at it, but wearing these helped me stop doing damage without feeling like I was being punished or told to stop. I like that I can still text and cook in them.
